The movie sees a comeback by Akash, who had taken a long break from silver screen, post marriage. “I took a few months’ break after marriage. Then I was busy with a Bengali film. However, I was missing work and am looking forward to the shoot. The film has a very interesting script and I’m lucky to have got a chance to play such a different role,” said Akash.

Akash plays the role of Raju the protagonist, a naive village lad, who reaches the city and gets entangled in a murder plot. Arpita plays the role of a blind girl, Raju’s lady love. “I’m really excited to play such a challenging role. My character Ragini is a soft-hearted and good-natured girl who may be visually impaired but is very hard working. Now that the non-stop shooting has begun, I will try to give my best. However, the sweltering heat adds to the challenges” said Arpita.

The movie is said run along the lines of erstwhile Bollywood hit Sunayna, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Rameswari. The plot differs with key focus on impact of urban lifestyle on unsuspecting village folk.
