MP: Infosys, TCS to Set Up Unit in Super Corridor

Infosys has planned the setting up of its unit in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore-Ujjain Super Corridor, at an investment of Rs 600 crore. An MoU has been signed between MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Infosys. TCS has also laid plans of joining Infosys in the venture.

“We have also got a proposal from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for inking an MoU for setting up IT facility in the Super Corridor,” said Kailash Vijaywargiya, Madhya Pradesh Industries Minister. Vijaywargiya has also said that WIPRO is also heading for talks to secure investment opportunities.

The IT giant will set up the project on 130 acres of land.  The project, which is to be completed by 2017, promises a generation of 13,000 jobs in the initial stages. Madhya Pradesh is all set to become a major IT destination and software industry hub.

Chief Minister Shivaraj Singh Chouhan has asked the Indore Development Authority to set aside 1,000 acres of land for the purpose. Chandramauli Shukla. CEO of IDA has stated that 100 acres of land has been allotted to TCS.

CSC India Limited, Impetus and Suvi Information have set up their offices in Crystal IT Park.
