‘Public TV’: New Kannada News Channel Set to Go on Air

A new 24 hour news channel in Kannada Public TV is all set for a launch on 26 January. The Chairperson and Managing Director of the channel will be HR Ranganath, whose name has been well known in journalistic circles. The channel has been promoted by Writemen Media Pvt Ltd, an independent company that has been floated to start this venture.
Idu Yaara aasthiyoo alla, Idu nimma TV(This is nobody’s asset, This is Your Channel) will be the tagline of the new channel. Karnataka already has six news channels – TV9, Suvarna News 24×7, Janasri News, Samaya 24×7, Kasturi Newz 24, Udaya News to its credit.
Commenting on name of the new channel Public TV, Chairman Ranganath said, “We are keeping common citizen in mind. The name, Writemen Media, itself speaks about an inspired project of journalistic thinking. We have brought in a system of transparency to maintain the standards of journalism and increase our credibility by being responsible to the public.”

I am happy to see new channel owned by you. When I was not able to see you on Suvarna Channel for more than 7 Months I thought that you are not well you may be having some health problem. Thank God you are holding new mic and facing your own new camera.
I have lots of expectations from you as individual and as new channel owner too. I am sure that you will change our state crisis at least some extent. I am all ways support you and I ready to any thing in my life for the good cause of society.

Sir, I would like to propose the following: Please create a platform wherein the public can meet and sort out their problems without going to courts so that we will not give any job to these idiot lawyers. We shall call this a PUBLIC COURT. Those who attend to these courts should not go over to regular courts. It is possible to sort out the problems to ourselves and keep this lawyers away .

All kannada channel journlists are stupids and incapables, doesn’t know how to gather the information and present it in diplomatic ways. Even doesn’t know and doesn’t have basis sense and communication for public TV chairperson HR Renganath. He is idiot and fit for poster sticking job not for media journlist. First he doesn’t have communication skills, dressing sense, he has behaviors issues, uses slang languages and abuses in TV.
Jourlist mean Journalists should get the report and interpret news in soft voice and diplomatically without using slang language, should have cultural trends, and other information. Above all, a journalism career requires curiosity, research, and effective communication skills. Curiosity can’t be taught, but investigative reporting and writing can. A successful journalism career is equal parts talent, education, and experience.
H R Ranganath or any of Kannda News Channel reporters have this except 1 person in Suvarna Channel.
I request all Kannada jourlists to learn basics of Journlism, behave like professional, speak like good communicator, give a honest and transperent news. Don’t prevoke people, don’t copy the other channel trends. Don’t use horrible words and music.
Please innovate and impliment.

kannada people want there understanding way of language, I accept public tv needs some improvements but not that much of low level. kannada channels doing researches and public rides media doing efficient things do not bluff any one without knowing anything.

H R Ranganath needs to know that,He should learn to behave on camera,he should not preach his colleagues in BIG BULLETIN. He should choose proper words and ask question like professional not like village thugs. He should wear correct dress and sit properly among panelists.
