The latest from India to join Madame Tussaud’s wax museum is none other than Dhak Dhak girl of Bollywood Madhuri Dixit. The statue is likely to be unveiled by March 2012. The wax statue of the actress will don a Manish Malhotra sari. The total expense of the statue will mount upto £150,000, taking into account aspects of creation like hair, wardrobe, make up etc.
An elated Madhuri was heard saying, “It’s a real mark of achievement and recognition for one’s art and work. It’s also wonderful to be following in the footsteps of other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes!”
Sources from Madame Tussauds, London say about the statue, “The Madame Tussauds team are so excited about 2012 – and we’ve got another new figure announcement for you. The next Bollywood star to join Madame Tussauds London will be Madhuri Dixit-Nene. She will be joining the attraction in March 2012.”
The other Bollwyood icons are Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
