The decision taken by Anna Hazare to return to Delhi on Monday has been cancelled. The anti-corruption activist cancelled his Hyderabad trip anticipating the tabling of the Lokpal Bill in Parliament.
Anna Hazare had, on Sunday, cast doubts on the intentions of the UPA government regarding tabling of the Lokpal Bill and accused the government of betraying his team. “If it is passed, it is fine or else protests only. I will present flowers to the Prime Minister on December 27 if the bill is passed,” said Hazare.
Referring to the betrayals made by the government, the Gandhian stated that it made the team “sceptical about the passage of the bill.” Spending his weekend at Bangalore and Chennai, Anna said that there would not compromise regarding bringing CBI under Lokpal ambit.
