Former Central Minister and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor says he doesn’t have any accounts in the Swiss bank. Answering a query asked by users in Twitter, Tharoor stated that he hasn’t seen the report published on the magazine yet and in that case he wouldn’t set much store by the list. The Sunday Indian had reported that Shashi Tharoor’s name is included in the list of 700 account holders released by HSBC.
“So the twitter darling MP(Shashi Tharoor)’s name is on the Swiss Money List of 700 received from HSBC” was the tweet posted by twitter user @jayapradeep. “In that case I wouldn’t set much store by that list. I have no Swiss account, legal or illegal” replied Tharoor.
When user with twitter handle centerofright suggested him “then you can easily send a notice to that website”, Shashi Tharoor tweeted “Sure. Haven’t seen the website. Send me a link &I will gladly sue them for libel.”
Further, he tweeted that he has never earned black money in his life, so he wouldn’t need to stash any in Switzerland.
