Naga Vara Prasad, the brother of late Silk Smitha has issued a legal notice to Milan Luthria, director and Ekta Kapoor, producer of Dirty Picture. Naga Vara Prasad alleged that the biopic on his sister has turned out to be an obscene movie and is being done without Smitha’s family’s consent. He stated that the movie was made based on various inputs given by someone who claimed to be Smitha’s boyfriend.

He further went on to state that neither Ekta Kapoor nor Milan Luthria ever made an attempt to get in touch with Smitha’s family before embarking on the venture of The Dirty Picture. “What right do the producer and the director have to make this film, without the family’s consent?” asked Vara Prasad.

Making it clear that a legal notice has been sent to the movie’s makers, Vara Prasad said, “There still has been no response from their side. We are now going to send a second notice in a couple of days through a High Court lawyer in Hyderabad. If they go ahead with the release, we will be compelled to initiate proceedings”.
