Senior BJP leader L K Advani arrived at Nagpur this morning to meet Mohan Bhagwat, RSS Sarasanghachalak, at the Sangh headquarters. The meeting is ahead of Advani’s proposed Rathyatra against corruption. However, details of the meeting are still awaited.

Besides his meeting with the RSS chief, Advani informed reporters that his arrival at Nagpur was also to pay a visit to Nitin Gadkari, party president who had undergone a minor operation.

According to statements issued earlier, Advani was to discuss plans of his yatra and the current political scenario with the RSS chief.

Advani had the backing of Sangh, in all the 5 yatras he had undertaken previously. The RSS support is expected this time as well, as it is to address the issue of corruption strongly. RSS had earlier declared complete support of Anna Hazare’s fast, making it clear that any campaign against graft would be backed completely.

The proposed Padyatra by Advani is likely to embark on October 11, birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan.
