A massive Andolan to save India from corruption is being launched tomorrow by Bharat Swabhiman movement. The protest will be headed by Baba Ramdev at the Ram Lila Maidan. In lieu of the protest thousands of supporters have already gathered at the venue. Anna Hazare who was to join Baba Ramdev at the protest venue is keeping away, supposedly owing to Ramdev’s recent praise of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Meanwhile Ramdev has clarified that key aides of Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi have not been invited to the protest meet at Ramlila Maidan. Not wanting a political party’s presence on stage has been cited as the reason. “After announcing that they would launch a political party and contest 2014 general election Kejriwal and his associates were no longer social activists but politicians,” said the Yoga Guru. He also ruled out joining hands with the political party to be floated by Team Anna or joining hands with them.

Baba Ramdev is currently on a 3 day stop-over in Anand, central Gujarat for “meditation” paid a visit to Karamsad, birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. There will be “no cheating the people or making them feel disappointed. That is why we are calling it decisive,” said Ramdev, as he addressed media persons from the ancestral home of the ‘Iron Man of India’.

Reiterating that his fight against black money that is stashed away in foreign banks will continue till it was brought back, Ramdev said that it happens to be his “promise and my commitment to the people of the country.”
