In a terror unleash, allegedly by members of Campus Front, the students wing of National Development Front, Vishal- Nagar Pramukh of ABVP was brutally murdered. The encounter took place yesterday in Christian College, Chengannur, where Vishal was stabbed violently. He was rushed to Kottayam Medical College, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Hospital authorities said that the stab damaged his vertebrae and injured his duodenum and pancreas. According to sources, when Vishal was admitted, he was stated to have very low blood pressure.  Even though he was rushed to the post operative ICU and put on life support system, he could not be revived.

Other ABVP activists who were injured along with Vishal are  Vishnuprasad and Sreejith. They have been admitted to a private hospital in Chengannur.

Police have arrested 3 people in connection with the incident.
